Due to Leighton’s continued growth and success we are looking to recruit a number of Angular experienced Front End Web Developers to join our London based team.  As a Front End Web Developer you will be responsible for the continued development and support of large scale client projects.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the production, modification and maintenance of websites and web application user interfaces
  • Deliver high quality, technically sound solutions to client agreed deadlines
  • Liaise directly with customers and represent the business in a professional manner
  • Respond in a timely manner to resolve outstanding issues, escalating issues to seniors / project managers where appropriate
  • Fully document development and testing, thoroughly testing all output
  • Provide information to senior team on the progress of development projects, providing accurate estimates on work
  • Assist in identifying and implementing processes and systems which optimise work performance
  • Work as part of a dedicated project development team
  • Conduct peer / code reviews
  • Participate in regular technical presentations
  • Be involved with the training and mentoring of new and current staff
  • Work within a clearly defined process
  • Constantly seek to develop yourself by learning new technologies
  • Maintain a high awareness of industry issues / trends, in particular accessibility, usability and emerging technologies, keeping other team members informed where appropriate
  • Any other duties as requested by your line manager

Person Specification

  • HTML5
  • CSS/3
  • JavaScript / JQuery/ AJAX
  • AngularJs
  • SASS
  • Code standards and validation, semantic markup and SEO techniques
  • Front end libraries / frameworks (jQuery, Node, Angular etc)
  • IDEs such as Eclipse, Netbeans etc.
  • Jasmine and karma testing experience preferred
  • Software design patterns such as MVC architecture
  • Software delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall etc)
  • A degree in a relevant discipline (desirable)
  • 2+ years commercial web design / development experience (circumstances will be considered)
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate directly with multiple project stakeholders
  • Have a good understanding of user experience best practice.
